We are committed at all times to protecting your privacy. We hold personal data provided by you to us either in person, by letter, email or occasionally by SMS text. Personal data means any information which can be used to directly or indirectly identify a person or ‘data subject’. We hold paper files to provide a legal record of your prosthetic history. Our prosthetist is a member is state registered member of HPCP and required to maintain records appropriately.

By giving us your details, you are consenting to the processing of the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Your personal information is confidential and we do not pass on your details to other parties. We will only share your personal information with other parties for ongoing treatment where you give prior permission or where we need to do so to comply with a legal obligation.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information Limb Solutions holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. You also have the right to request that your information is deleted. Our healthcare professionals are required to adhere to the Standards of proficiency as set out by the professional body they are If we are unable to comply with your request we will tell you and explain why. We will aim to respond to you within one month and will not charge a fee for your request (but reserve the right to do so if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive).

Information we collect and what we do with it

Members of the public

  • We may log calls and emails if you contact us. We may ask for your name, telephone number and/or email address to enable appropriate follow up. We will not process this information for any other purpose.

  • We provide leaflets on our services and component providers. If you request copies we will only use your name and address / email address for the purpose of sending them to you.

  • You may be given a BHTA customer satisfaction feedback form The information you provide is logged by BHTA and held for a maximum of 3 years.

  • We hold financial information in line with statutory requirements.

 

Security and storage of your personal information

Prosthetic Users

  • We hold paper files to provide a legal record of your prosthetic history. Our prosthetist is a member is state registered member of HPCP and required to maintain records appropriately

  • We keep accurate, comprehensive, and comprehensible records in accordance with applicable legislation, protocols, and guidelines and recognise the need to manage records and all other information in accordance with applicable legislation, protocols and guidelines

  • We do not pass on your information for commercial purposes.

  • We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated

    securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
